The Fat Canyoners acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land we have the privilege of bushwalking and canyoning on. This area covers the traditional country of many Aboriginal nations, including the: Gundungurra; Dharug; Wiradjuri; Darkinjung; Tharawal; and Wanaruah.
We wish to pay our respects to Elders of these nations, past and present, and to the many thousands of Indigenous people to whom this country continues to carry spiritual, cultural, and heritage significance.
We take great pride knowing that we live on country that sustains the oldest continuous culture on earth and thank the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people for their ongoing role as custodians of this land.
